Here's my home office, where I usually work and blog from. (Occasionally I blog from the bedroom. You can see those photos here.)
This shelf needs some major attention. It looks much cuter when it's all neat and organized!
I like to surround myself with things that are inspirational to me. Especially books both new...
and old.
I adore this little collection of vintage finds. The brass business card holder was a major score!
I've got my pencils handy - ready to sketch on a moment's notice! The ball jars are another vintage find. And, yes, they are organized by color family.
My little hula lady sits above my computer. She makes me smile.
And this Eleanor Roosevelt quote is my absolute favorite. I read it whenever I need some encouragement and strength. I designed the layout and printed it on photo paper.
And here is my ultimate blogging buddy, Wylie. (Yes, those green silk drapes are waiting to be re-hung. This is just one of those many things on my to-do list!)
Another pic of Wylie. I think he gets really bored when I'm working. That's what Kongs are for, I guess!
Thanks to Centsational Girl for throwing this fun party! I hope you all enjoyed this informal tour of my office.

Now, back to cleaning up my mess...

Just finding your blog through the link party! I love love love all the colors in your blogging space. I'm digging the yellow desk against the peacock blue wall. And I too keep my sketching pencils (and paintbrushes) at hand in glass jars. Looking forward to reading more!
ReplyDeleteHi, Lindsay. Thanks for stopping by! Did you post pics, too? What a great idea for a blog link party! Funny that we both use the glass jars. Makes those pencils easier to find, I think.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments on my office colors...and impromptu photo shoot!
This is messy? I'm feeling a bit bad about myself now. :) Love your colors here and I am noting a few of your organizational ideas. I could definitely incorporate some of those into my work space. The yellow desk is truly charming. Don't you just love adding pieces with a personal history? Nicely finished.

Pam - I didn't take photos of the messiest areas. ;) But it's pretty messy. Thanks for stopping by! Yes...I am a BIG fan of using pieces that tell a story. It makes a room - a house - so much more interesting and authentic.
