My Favorite Magazines for Home, Style and Color Inspiration

Pin It Now! Welcome to the new blog site, everyone! In case you haven't heard, I had a little disruption with the old blog. Much to my dismay, all the wonderful comments that have ever been left on any post have poof! - disappeared. It was really quite magical. One moment they were there, the next they were gone. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy. But I'm not going to dwell on it, because I have learned (or maybe it's better to say I am in the process of learning) that sometimes when really (seemingly) crappy things happen it's supposed to propel you into a new direction. To be honest, I had been considering a move away from iWeb, my current blogging software, to something a little more supportive of my blogging needs.

I guess this was the push that I needed, because I spent all weekend working on my new Blogger page. Seems good so far...still trying to get the hang of everything. Today I'm even going to try out a new feature which will allow you to link directly to Amazon to purchase any of the magazines I'm going to share with you! I hope you don't mind playing the part of guinea pig today. Hopefully the magazine suggestions are worth it.

I am often asked by clients, colleagues and friends which magazines I like to use for inspiration for all things color, design, home and style related. A good number of my favorites have folded over the past couple of years, as you probably already know. Domino, Blueprint, Country Home, Cottage Living...the list goes on and on. The fact that so many mags have closed has made me relish the ones that are still around that much more. Some of these are home and design magazines, some lifestyle, and some are women's mags. Each of these publications usually features something on home decor, color, DIY, interiors, organization and lifestyle. I page through them regularly for inspiration, and hope that they can provide you with inspiration, as well.

Ok, on to my favorite magazines...

I limited the list to American magazines because, well, I'm American. ;) But I'd love to hear from the rest of you, which magazines do you reach for when you need some inspiration? Or do you find your inspiration elsewhere?
