Another Stylish Blogger Award! (and my answers to the Color Questionnaire)

Pin It Now! Kelly over at Jax Does Design made my day last Thursday by awarding me my second Stylish Blogger Award. (The first was gifted to me by Kristie at The Decorologist.) Thanks, Kelly!

I'm especially happy about this not because I like collecting awards (although it's always nice to know that someone enjoys your blog), but because it gives me the opportunity to share 10 other blogs with you that I absolutely adore! (Seems the rules have changed since award number one. It's kinda like a game of telephone, isn't it? By the way, does anyone know where these things originate?!? I'm always fascinated when stuff like this spreads like wildfire. Who lit the match?)

Anyway, here are the official rules (as borrowed from Kelly's blog):
  • Thank and link back to the person who awarded you
  • Share 7 things about yourself
  • Award to 10 great bloggers
  • Contact those bloggers and tell them about the award
I will start with the 10 great bloggers.
  1. Rachel @ Hue
  2. Lori @ ColorBudz
  3. Amanda @ AB Home Interiors
  4. Elizabeth @ Colorific
  5. Annie @ Bossy Color
  6. Maria @ Colour Me Happy
  7. Kelly @ Color Sizzle
  8. Debra @ Artissima
  9. Libby @ An Eye For Detail
  10. Julia @ Hooked on Houses
(Don't forget the three fabulous blogs from last time! Color Marie, Style Attic and Happy Home)

And now, for my questions, I'm going to answer my Color Questionnaire. (I hope some of you will be able to share your answers, too! If you don't have a blog, you can post your answers on your facebook page in the "notes" section...or email them to me and I will post them for you on the Arte Styling facebook page.)

5-10 years maybe?

12) Define color:
light. life.

13) What does color mean to you?
same as above. color is life.

14) How do you use color in your daily life?
every second of every day. obviously, it is part of my work, but it goes so much deeper. I think color and cooking is probably something I'm most aware of...but I'm also constantly studying color in nature. there's always something new to see.

15) How often would you say you think about color each day?
thousands

16) Did you draw/color/paint as a child?
yes

17) Do you fear color?
no...well, just putty. putty scares me.

not really. I'd be a tough client.

19) Is it difficult for you to make decisions involving color? If so, why?
yes, because I love so many different colors. I have a hard time choosing one over another. Also, I want to play with as many colors as possible. To decide on just one or two means playtime is over.

21) Would you paint the exterior of your home your favorite color? Why or why not?
Absolutely.

22) If not, what color would you choose? Why?

23) How about your bedroom?
Yes - the bedroom is painted in a pale turquoise.

24) If not, what color would you choose? Why?

Probably make-up. Eyeshadows, to be exact. I fell in love with a color palette in a set of shadows and had to have it.

Violets, charcoals, greens, golds - lots of colors.

27) What drew you to that color?
worked well with my skin tone.

not sure yet. need to give that some heavy thought. Maybe the trim. I don't love white trim. Would like something more creative...

37) What is stopping you from making that change?
We rent. Brother (the landlord) wouldn't be happy with the crazy colors I would probably choose for trim.

38) Are you happy with the color(s) in your wardrobe? If not, what would you change?
Ok - would like more color, but have a hard time finding colors I like in clothing.

41) Do you know what is stopping you from making that change?
Can't find things I love.

42) If you knew that painting a particular color on your living room walls would immediately improve your energy level, would you paint it?
No.
